Paleo Challege: Day 2, Waiting For Cravings

Day 2 is in the books for the 30-Day Paleo Challenge and I have yet to crave any bad foods. Maybe it won’t hit me at all, or maybe it will hit hard in a few days and I will literally steal candy from babies.

As much as I anticipate cravings, I am also fearful for the inevitable “crash” that comes from such a drastic change in diet.  Typically, when this happens all energy is zapped and physical performance is hindered.  They say that it comes about a week to two weeks into the Paleo Diet, which means it would hit me right when the Crossfit Games Open begins.  Awesome! 

Back to cravings… I’d be lying if I told you that a McDonald’s Big Breakfast with Hotcakes doesn’t sound delicious right about now… but I’ll stick to my eggs and bacon.

Day 2 Meal Plan (almost exactly the same as Day 1):
Breakfast – 3 eggs, 6 strips of bacon
Lunch – chicken breast, side of broccoli, peppers and onions
Snack – strawberries, blueberries, rasberries and blackberries, handful of raw almonds
Snack #2 – Lara Bar
Dinner – Rybolt Salad (lettuce, 2 scoops of steak, guacamole, peppers, onions, salsa)
