Paleo Challenge, Day 21: Who Needs Enemies…

Who says I need enemies when I’ve got friends like Christine aka Big Worm aka Big Perm aka The Worminator who knows I’m on Paleo and finds it entertaining to send pictures of all of the feel-good foods she’s eating that I wish I could eat?!  Look at that pizza in all its greasy glory.  I suppose I put myself in these predicaments, so it’s my own fault.  On Saturday I went to Costco with Nikki and Amy and ate almonds and a Lara Bar while they chomped down on those delicious $1.50 hot dogs and chocolate/vanilla swirl froyo.  Remind me again why exactly we strive to eat like cavemen.  I’m fairly certain that they would have been much happier had they been able to experience the greatness of fried chicken, mac’n’cheese and warm apple pie.  Just sayin’.

What I ate on Saturday…

Breakfast – scrambled eggs, 10 strips of bacon, strawberries, blueberries
Snack – Lara Bar
Snack – apple, almond butter
Dinner – rosemary/lemon chicken, cauliflower
Dessert – lemon eclipse pie from Thrive on 65th…
Snack – almonds

Does that really say TEN strips of bacon???? how’s your cholesterol?

    • …says the girl who served me up a glass of orange juice and a plate full of bacon for breakfast.

It’s hard to limit myself at Whole Foods when they have a huge platter of bacon at the hot bar. I’m like a kid in a candy store!
