I got a call from Steve on Friday telling me about these signs that were posted in the bulk foods area at Whole Foods that read:
“BREAKING NEWS: The dried mango is in jeopardy of becoming extinct… Please help us in stopping those that are depleting the world’s supply. If you see either of these men near the dried mango’s… stop them by all means necessary..”
It just so happens that the men pictured on the posters were Steve and me. Who knew that we ate THAT MUCH mango on a daily basis?? It didn’t take long to realize that we had been April Fooled! However, I only had time to chuckle at this for a few moments because not 30 seconds after reading the sign I was bum rushed and tackled to the ground by seven Whole Foods employees. Apparently, they didn’t know that it was an April Fools joke. Luckily, as many of you know from my CrossFit Games Bio, I was born into a family of Samurai Warriors and was able to defend myself quite easily.
In other Paleo related news, can you believe that we are 29 days in?! One more day to go and then I can get to work on that Costco size package of OREO’s! Kidding. Sort of.
Here’s what I ate on Day 29…
Breakfast – 2 eggs, 4 strips of bacon
Snack – almonds, macadamia nuts, dried mango slices
Lunch – 1/2 lb burger patty, arugula salad
Snack – Lara bar, macadamia nuts, dried mango slices
Dinner – pulled pork, asparagus, cauliflower, blueberry smoothie (probably too late for a fruit smoothie… whoops!)
Snack – almonds
